Boogers can be fun!

I am having issues with my 2 year old picking her nose. She constantly has her finger up there. It drives me crazy! The other night we caught her in the act and told her to stop picking her nose. She told us she had to put her booger back. Before I could get up to take it away (with a tissue of course) she had it back in her nose. I noticed later that she had a little booger sitting right inside her nostril, then it of course disappeared back into her finger where she played with it. I notice now how often she had a little friend in her fingers that she is playing with. Today she told me that she was rocking her booger to sleep! I shouldn't complain too much at least she hasn't started eating them.
Who ever said boogers were not any fun!

Happy Valentines Day!

For Valentines Day this year we got the kids some fish. Gage doesn't care too much about them but Kylee loves them. We asked her what she wanted to name the fish and she said one is daddy and the other is Bella.
Gage is doing really well and he is such a good baby and so much fun. He has been smiling for us a little bit. Hopefully I can get a picture soon!

Little man

Gage has been so good since we brought him home. The first couple of nights were rough. We were constantly waking up to check on him and make sure he was breathing. Every noise he made Travis would roll over and ask if he was okay. Thankfully he is a noisy sleeper so it makes it easier. I am so happy to have him home and so grateful to have him healthy. He is a great eater and sleeper and unfortunately a good pooper too.

Kylee was feeling left out and wanted a picture taken of her too!

Happy Birthday Travis!

Today my wonderful husband turned 25 ( I know he is an old man).... He couldn't get a better present then getting to bring home his baby boy. I am so grateful for Trav and all he does for our family. I couldn't ask for a better person to spend forever with.
Us getting ready to leave the hospital...Yay!!
Gage checking out his new world...no more babies crying or machines beeping
Kylee was so excited to meet her baby brother. She loved holding him and did not want to put him down. She wants to help with everything..like picking him up, wiping him, and feeding him. She noticed he was hungry and suggested that we feed him a hot dog! This is going to be very interesting for a little while and scary. I won't be able to take my eyes off of either of them. I had to explain that he only can drink milk. She then suggested that chocolate milk would be much better. Our first family pictures..Ky was upset that we took him from her so she wouldn't look at the camera

He is here!

Our little fighter is here.
Gage Travis Holder was born on January 17th at 8:44 a.m. He was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches. Unfortunately during the delivery process he took a big breath and his lungs got full of meconium (his poop). The NICU nurses were able to clean his lungs out pretty good but he was still full of fluid and meconium. Our little man has had quite the struggle with infection, eating and breathing. He is doing so much better and now we are just waiting for him to realize that he still needs to breath while he sleeps. (I think it is a boy thing...us girls can multi-task). He has been off of his oxygen since last night so we will see how it goes. Once he is off the oxygen they will monitor him for 2 days and then he will get to come home to us. It has been one of the hardest things we have had to go through. We try and get to the hospital every three hours for his feedings. It is hard that noone can see him especially Kylee. Hopefully soon she can meet her little brother so she can give him a "bobble" and "pet him"!
I will keep posting and give updates on how he is doing and when he will come home.

Gage

He looks so much like Ky when she was a baby. Some of the pictures I have taken look so much like her. If it wasn't for the oxygen or the feeding tube I may not know who the picture is of.

We were so happy when he got the i.v. out of his head. The nurses said he may have the record for the number of i.v's that he had. Each spot only lasted a day but some days they had to be moved twice.
This one was just yesterday. He actually didn't have the oxygen on but it was still in his nose.

Our little Picasso!

Have you ever had one of those "I want to beat my child" moments?
This would be one of those moments. I was working at my home job and Kylee was watching a movie. I kept checking on her because she was coloring on her easel she got for Christmas with the dry erase markers. When I was finished I walked around the corner to find her trying to paint her nails with a marker and this chair. I saw it and said " are you kidding me" she was so proud and said "Yes". Then I lost it!! She got to sit in time out while I threw my temper tantrum. Then to top it off she peed all over the chair that she was sitting on for time out because she was crying so hard. All of that and pregnancy don't go together very well. On the up side the chair needed to be cleaned anyways but the marker is there forever! The smiley face is her signature drawing.

New Years Eve

We spent New Years Eve with Brian, Katie, Jeremy and Autumn. We went to Telfords house and had some dinner and then the real partying started. The boys of course went downstairs to play hockey and us girls sat and played on the internet! I know I know you are thinking... these guys are quite the party animals!

Travis got hit in the eye by the hockey ball. He looks like he has smoked something!
Katie and Brian
Autumn and Jeremy
We were trying to get Kylee and Cole to kiss but they would only hug. After the hug Cole grabbed Ky's hand and they ran to the basement. It was pretty cute.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was a crazy day. First we got up about 7 am to open presents at home. Then we were off to Trav's parents house to open presents and have breakfast with family and friends. After that we went to my moms for a little bit before going to Trav's grandparents for a party. Then we were back to my moms house to open presents with my sisters and brother. It gets pretty crazy but it works. We get to spend the day with everyone and I wouldn't have it any other way.Ky opening her piano with her Grammy
