Murphey's Law

"Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."
That is how the last few months have been with our family. First Gage being in the hospital and since we brought Gage home from the hospital Kylee has been constantly sick. One thing after another. She has had 3 different colds and last week she had double ear infections. She was put on Amoxicillin and 6 days after starting got fevers and swollen gums and sores on her lips. Then the rash came. She looks like a leopard. After going to the Dr. this morning we found out that she is allergic to Amoxicillin. Hopefully she won't have the spots for too much longer. She gets excited to tell people about them and walks around saying "look at my spots"! Although things have been going wrong for us we are very lucky and it definitely could be alot worse.

Weekend Fun

Friday night Becky and I went to the midnight release of Twilight at the Riverton Walmart. We knew that one member of the cast was going to be there and that slight chance that it would be Edward (Robert Pattinson) we had to go. Call us losers all you want but it was fun. It ended up being Rachelle Lefevre who plays Victoria in the movie. We were definitely disappointed but it was still a fun Girls Night.

Saturday night we went to Katie and Brians house to watch Twilight.

She is growing up too fast!Same with Parker (you may want to get that checked out Becky!)
Best BuddiesThe boys didn't want to watch Twilight "cause it's stupid". I wish I could have gotten a picture of them when they made their way over to watch for a little bit. Britt holding the little man

Hanging out with the Holders

Sunday we went over to Trav's parents for dinner and to watch Twilight again. Travis actually admitted that it wasn't too bad. Yes he actually sat down and watched the whole thing!

Ever since Kylee was little she would fall asleep in the strangest places. Here are a few of them just in the last few weeks. She is so weird. I promise she doesn't always walk around in just her diaper. It's easier for pottie training which I think we may officially be!!!

Guess who is a chunk!!

Hmmm could it be me?
Gage had his 2 month appointment yesterday and he weighs 12 lbs 7 oz and he is 24 inches. His Dr said he had to check his age twice to see if it was his 4 month checkup. What a little porker!
I kept saying he feels too big for how old he is and not to my surprise he is!! They grow up way to fast!

Bowling

Last weekend my parents took the whole family bowling. I think there are about 32 of us now. We don't get to do it that often and it was so much fun. I think we took up 4 lanes and they were pretty packed!
Sorry Katie I had to!

Smiles, surprises and painting.

It has taken a while for me to capture the little man's smile. Most of them are half smiles like the top picture. He is so much fun and is doing so good. I love getting those goofy little smiles. Gage is almost 2 months old now...Time flies when your having fun!
My sister Ashley surprised us yesterday by coming home earlier than we expected. She is going to school in Massachusetts and comes home just a few times a year. This was her first time seeing Gage. Love you Ash!!
Kylee has been asking if she can paint for a while so I went and got her some water colors. She loved it. She sat at the table for such a long time just going to town. It eventually turned into finger painting and she made such a mess. I was back and forth watching American Idol and playing with her and I walked into the kitchen and her mouth was blue. I was confused at first but then she told me that she took a drink of the water. I am sure it didn't taste bad but it still was disgusting to me. She has not been feeling the greatest so I am glad she got to have some fun and take her mind off of being sick for a little bit.

Boogers can be fun!

I am having issues with my 2 year old picking her nose. She constantly has her finger up there. It drives me crazy! The other night we caught her in the act and told her to stop picking her nose. She told us she had to put her booger back. Before I could get up to take it away (with a tissue of course) she had it back in her nose. I noticed later that she had a little booger sitting right inside her nostril, then it of course disappeared back into her finger where she played with it. I notice now how often she had a little friend in her fingers that she is playing with. Today she told me that she was rocking her booger to sleep! I shouldn't complain too much at least she hasn't started eating them.
Who ever said boogers were not any fun!

Happy Valentines Day!

For Valentines Day this year we got the kids some fish. Gage doesn't care too much about them but Kylee loves them. We asked her what she wanted to name the fish and she said one is daddy and the other is Bella.
Gage is doing really well and he is such a good baby and so much fun. He has been smiling for us a little bit. Hopefully I can get a picture soon!

Little man

Gage has been so good since we brought him home. The first couple of nights were rough. We were constantly waking up to check on him and make sure he was breathing. Every noise he made Travis would roll over and ask if he was okay. Thankfully he is a noisy sleeper so it makes it easier. I am so happy to have him home and so grateful to have him healthy. He is a great eater and sleeper and unfortunately a good pooper too.

Kylee was feeling left out and wanted a picture taken of her too!
